Approve the curve with the crown
Measure brim projection, width, curvature and firmness alongside crown depth. Review how the shape and band sit on the wearer during the planned sports or travel movement, with the chosen decoration in place.
- Confirm polyester/cotton percentages for the actual cap components.
- Identify terry material, pile or loop structure, thickness and placement.
- Map mesh fiber, openings and positions around the crown.

Assign the Custom Size measurement
Establish adult circumference and tolerance for the finished cap rather than treating Custom Size as a fixed range. Apply the relevant 48–50, 50–52, 52–54, 54–56, 56–58 or 58–60cm reference and assess adjustment contact during movement.
Match artwork to the selected surface
Compare Black or White with the logo, or review Army Green, Peacock Blue or Camel on physical samples. Define front, side, rear or bill dimensions and seam clearance for the chosen stitch or print process.
Approve threads, density, backing and any raised detail for selected embroidery. Requested sequins, beads, flock effects, eyelets or appliques need material, attachment and contact review; specify included processes and proof printed effects on their actual substrate.
Set the sports evidence and care
Trial the finished configuration in the intended season and obtain airflow and water-resistance methods, results, limits and component coverage. Review any coating, seam or artwork effects, then agree required drying evidence and care for pile, mesh, decoration and snaps.
